अपामार्ग (Apamarga)

Description

अपामार्ग दस्तावर, तीक्ष्ण, अग्निप्रदीपक अर्थात भूख बढ़ाने वाला, कड़वा, चरपरा, पाचक, रुचिकारक और वमन, कफ, मेद, वात, हृदय रोग अफरा अर्थात गैस, बवासीर, खुजली, शूल, उदर रोग तथा अपचन को नष्टकरने वाला होता है। अपामार्ग मूत्रल अर्थात शरीर में रुके हुए जलीयांश को निकालने वाला होता है। अपामार्ग की 5 से 10 ग्राम ताजी जड़ पानी में घोल कर पिलाने से किडनी की पथरी टुकड़े-टुकड़े हो कर निकल जाती है। दर्द में भी आराम मिलता है। वृक्क अर्थात किडनी के दर्द लिये यह प्रधान औषधि है।
Apamarga is Pergative, Digestive i.e. appetite enhancer, bitter, pungent, destroyer of vomiting, phlegm, obesity, increased vata, heart disease, gas, piles, itching, colic, abdominal disease and indigestion. Apamarg is diuretic, that is, it removes the stagnant water in the body. Dissolving 5 to 10 grams of fresh root of Apamarg in water and giving it to the patient, kidney stone breaks into pieces and comes out. There is relief even in pain. This is the main medicine for kidney pain.
